Mahima Mehra
Founder, Director
Mahima actively works as a consultant for rural development and education projects. She is a member of All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice and also of National Council of News and Broadcasting besides working with organizations like Ummeed Foundation, Spectrum and Nomadlawyers. She believes education can bring about real change in the lives of people.
Panki Sood
Founder, Director
Panki runs the Sunshine Himalayan Cottage in Tirthan and is a co-founder of Himalayan Volunteer Tourism. He is a qualified mountaineer, bird watcher and a passionate photographer besides being a tourism professional. He is actively involved with drug de-addiction counselling and is committed to social development projects across Kullu district. He is also a 2-time TEDx speaker.
Parth Phalke
Founder, Director
Parth is an educator teaching since 2007. He has worked mostly in alternative education organizations including 8 years at Sahyadri School KFI. He enjoys keenly observing the world around him and is convinced education begins with observation and questioning. He is actively involved in the project on ground and has been teaching the local children full-time since 2020 as well.
Mohit Singla
Director
Mohit is an engineer. After working for a few years with companies like Mahindra and Citigroup he switched to his real interest, the media and entertainment. It has been 16 years now that he has been working in the industry and at present he is working as a casting director for advertising. He enjoys travelling, meeting people and having meaningful conversations with them. He also has a special interest in art education.

Chandni Bisht
Head, Rural Education Project (Tirthan)
Chandni joined Srot in July 2022 and was the third member of the team. She has run and been in-charge of the Mungla centre for the last 2 years. Her positivity and work ethic are a great asset. Her ability to put children at ease and get them interested in learning is well-appreciated. Over these past two years, she has developed the confidence to take on bigger roles and is now taking the lead in helping Srot expand and grow.

Pushpa Devi
Facilitator
Pushpa belongs to Tirthan valley and has a Master's degree in Commerce. She joined us in March 2023. Her interest in teaching gained strength after the birth of her two daughters and she is always looking to learn new and better ways to help children learn. Her simplicity and calm make it easy for the kids to feel comfortable around her and learn.
Seema
Facilitator
Seema joined the team in September 2023. Since then she has grown significantly as a teacher and has been working with the youngest students at the Mungla centre. Her easy going demeanor helps her deal with the kids she works with.
Raj Kumari
Facilitator
Raj Kumari, affectionately called Bittu joined the team in May 2024. She has a Master's degree in Computer Application and has experience of working with organisations in Ambala and Chandigarh. She brings the same experience to the table as she works with students of class 6 and above at the Mungla centre.
Poojit
Facilitor
Poojit is an architect and joined the team in January 2024. He has been enjoying teaching students here and has also been keeping accounts for us. He has been a great addition to the team.
Trainees
Dharmendra
Trainee
Dharmendra is a student of 2nd year BA. He has always been interested in teaching and has been training with us since March 2024. He enjoys doing and teaching Maths and has been learning to teach what he knows effectively. He loves taking up challenges and is dedicated to his work.
Radhika
Trainee
Radhika has been a student at Srot since 2021 and over time got interested in teaching. She has been a trainee since February 2024. She is very passionate and dedicated towards her work and her students have been showing good improvement in their skills.
Akshita
Trainee
Akshita, a 2nd year student of BA, showed interest in teaching in May 2024. She started joining the sessions from June onwards and has been working independently with students as well. Her students have been responding well and she has a big upside to her.
